Eid-ul Azha was today celebrated with gaiety at the international headquarters of Ahmadiyya Muslim community at Qadian town, near here.

Several Muslims offered prayers at Masjid Aqsa Qadian with Maulana Munir Ahmad Khadim, Secretary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamat in India, leading the prayer.

Khadim, addressing the gathering, appealed to all Muslims to follow the right path showed by the Prophet Mohammed, follow the 'sunnah' (tradition) of Prophet Ibrahim and be ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of Allah.

After the Eid Khutba (sermon) people raised their hands for prayers and greeted each other by hugging and embracing.

Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Chairman of Technical Education Board Punjab and former state cabinet minister, visited the Ahmadiyya Headquarters to extend his greetings to the community.

On this occasion, Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa and his MLA wife Charanjeet Kaur also extended their greetings to the Ahmadiyya Muslim community.

A special feast was prepared by langar khana (kitchen).
