AI CMD directs officers to come to office on time

Air India CMD Arvind Lohani has directed senior airline officials to come to office on time after he found some of them coming late regularly.

An internal circular the CMD has said, "I have noticed that senior officers regularly come late to the office. I would expect officers to be in their offices by 0930 hrs".

The July 11 communication further said that if required, the attendance of officials would be cross-verified at random.

In response to a query on the matter the airline said that "It was a routine office missive to encourage discipline".

The Union cabinet late last month had in-priciple gave its approval for disinvestment of its stakes in the national carrier.
