The departure of a New Delhi bound Air India flight from here was delayed for five hours after one of its wheel tyre was found flat at Renigunta airport, 20 km from here today.
The pilot noticed that a tyre had got deflated just as the passengers were about to board the aircraft, airport officials said.
The passengers were accommodated at the airport till the tyre was replaced, officials said, adding, it was nothing serious.
After a five hour delay, the A541 flight with 145 passengers on board left for Hyderabad en route to New Delhi at 6.35 PM instead of the scheduled time of 1.35 PM, officials added.
