AI plane lands with snag at Bhopal airport, passengers safe

An Air India plane with 71 people on board developed a technical snag while landing at Raja Bhoj airport here today but managed to touch down safely.

The Delhi-Bhopal flight number 833 developed the snag while landing at 2.40 PM, Air India Station Manager Feroz Khan told PTI.

He said the aircraft was to return to Delhi from Bhopal airport at 3.30 PM but has been grounded now, he added.

Raja Bhoj airport director K Gunasekaran said the plane had 64 passengers and seven crew members on board and all of them are safe.

They are de-boarded from the plane safely, he said, adding, the aircraft has been parked in apron and efforts are on to fix the problem.
