The opposition AIADMK charged today the Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy with ignoring women and said this was clear when he recommended and got the Centre's approval of names of three persons for nominated legislators for the territorial assembly.

Talking to reporters here, AIADMK legislator A Anbalagan said three members - V Bhalan and J Ayyanar of the ruling AINRC and M Visweswaran of the BJP - would be inducted tomorrow as nominated legislators since the Union Home Ministry had given its approval of the names forwarded by the Chief Minister some time back.

During elections the Rangasamy had made tall claims that his party would always champion the cause of women but he had failed to walk the talk as he had not included a woman as nominated legislator, Anbalagan said.

There is no woman member in the present Assembly here.
