: The wife of an AIADMK district secretary was killed while two others, including a party functionary, were injured in a collision involving two cars at nearby Avaniyapuram village today, police said.
AIADMK district Secretary Kaliappan and his family were on their way to a temple in Mohanur when their car collided with another car near Avaniyapuram, killing his wife, they said.
The car driver and Kaliappan suffered multiple fractures and were shifted to a private hospital at Coimbatore, police said.
