The ruling AIADMK today lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against DMK candidate from Central Chennai Dayanidhi Maran, alleging distribution of cash to voters.
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar told PTI that the AIADMK's complaint would be forwarded to the local election officials for appropriate action.
"We will seek a report if needed after the election officials process the complaint."
The former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran is seeking re-election from Central Chennai constituency, where AIADMK, Congress and DMDK are also in the fray.
