Workers of the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) today staged a protest here against the attack on an army base at Uri in Kashmir and burnt the effigy of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif amid raising of anti-Pak slogans.

Front workers Radhey Shyam, Mahesh Nagar, Deepak Bhati and others were present at the protest and said, "India should retaliate in strong manner and teach Pakistan a lesson."

Front members held the march from Alpha sector commercial belt before burning the effigy of the Pakistani Prime Minister at Pari Chowk.

BJP leaders Anand Bhati, Sachin Awana, Vikas and others also burnt the effigy of Pakistan PM.

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarti Parishad members held a candle light march for the slain soldiers and prayed for the peace of the departed souls.

"India needs to take a proactive stand on terrorism from Pakistan and take measures to get PoK back. Once PoK is occupied by India, terrorists will not get hideout," ABVP worker Ashok Bhati said.
