"Different committees have been formed and were assigned respective works for the successful execution of the event which will be held with complete simplicity like any other party event," AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi told reporters here.
Dwivedi and other senior leaders including Ahmed Patel, Oscar Fernandes, Ambika Soni, Mukul Wasnik held discussions with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other leaders of the state to finalise the preparation of the event.
Meanwhile, Dwivedi, in reply to a query, said that everyone knows about the importance of Rahul Gandhi in the party.
"Everyone knows about the importance of Rahul Gandhi after Sonia Gandhi in the party set up," he said.
After the discussions at hotel Khasakothi, the leaders visited Birla Auditorium where the event is scheduled to take place from January 18 to January 20.
Party sources said that nearly 450 delegates are expected to attend the Chintan Shivir on January 18 and 19, and around 1,000 delegates would be present in the AICC meeting on the last day when resolutions will also be presented.
Arrangements for accommodation and other would also be made austerely, the sources said.
