BJP today claimed that opposition parties including Congress, National Conference, and JKNPP are in "deep frustration" as they failed to "mislead" masses over the demand for setting up of an AIIMS in Jammu.

"Now when the picture is clear that AIIMS will be established in Jammu, parties like NC, Congress and JKNPP are in deep frustration as their designs to mislead the masses have totally failed," BJP state president and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said at a press conference here.

Sharma said the Union Health Ministry's letter asking the state government to identify 200 acres of land each for Jammu and Srinagar for "setting up of AIIMS" has convinced the AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) that the issue is now settled.

"Still, these parties are trying to provoke people through misinformation campaigns," he alleged.

"These parties are frustrated and their leaders can't even breathe properly as they are out of power," he said.

Sharma said that instead of dubbing BJP as "anti-Jammu", the rival parties must explain to the people what they have done in the last 60 years for the region.

They should utilise their energy and time on raising "real" issues facing the people, he said.

On the incidents of ceasefire violations, he said that the India troops were giving a "strong" reply to the Pakistani forces.

"Gone are the days when the hands of our forces were tied. Now strong reply is given (to Pakistani troops) on every ceasefire violation, he said.
