AINRC founder and leader of the opposition in Puducherry Assembly N Rangasamy today said that the party which was formed in 2011 (after breaking away from Congress) had lasted its full five year term under him.
Addressing workers and delegates of various wings of AINRC on its eighth founding day, he said efforts would continue to bring back AINRC rule and added that people were already aspiring for an AINRC government again in the union territory.
Stating that ANRC was committed to procuring full statehood for Puducherry, Rangasamy, also a former Chief Minister said he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was likely to visit Puducherry this month end to participate in golden jubilee of Auroville International township here.
AINRC has eight legislators in the 30 member Assembly e and the formation day was celebrated jubilantly by the party workers and Rangasamy also unfurled the party flag to mark the celebration.
