Press Trust of India Puducherry
:Opposition leader N Rangasamy today charged Chief Minister and Congress nominee for the November 19 assembly bypoll to Nellithope constituency V Narayanasamy with having failed the people by not launching any programmes while he was union minister in the previous UPA government.

Addressing an AINRC workers meeting here, a day after the party announced it would support AIADMK in the poll,he alleged that Narayanasamy was after power and position and that was why he became CM without being a member of the Assembly.

Rangasamy, the AINRC founder, claimed that the election would bring about a political change and change in government would emerge.

He alleged that the Congress government had not achieved anything, though Narayanasamy had been making claims of achievements. Schemes of the previous AINRC government had been continued and no new programme had been evolved.

Free rice was not available in most areas for cardholders and people are 'disillusioned' with the Congress rule,he said.

Rangasamy also said that AINRC would jointly campaign with AIADMK cadres and mobilise massive support in favour of Om Sakthi Segar.

Rangasamy also said his party wished Jayalalithaa, now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai, a speedy recovery.
