Even as Haryana Police continues to probe the alleged passing on of "answer keys" to some students during AIPMT on May 3, CBSE today rejected reports that the question paper had been leaked and said that the exam was conducted in a "smooth and fair manner".
In a statement issued this evening, the board, which conducts All India Pre-Meducak/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIMPT), said that "during the examination or after the examination no reports were received from any quarters regarding the leakage as alleged."
CBSE Controller of Examination K K Chaudhary said in the statement that that the first news report of the leakage "appeared only on May 5 after lapse of two days."

Four persons, including two dentists and an MBBS student, were arrested by police for allegedly passing on "answer keys" to some students using sophisticated vests attached with SIM card units and bluetooth-enabled earpieces during the All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Entrance Test on May 3.
Referring to the media reports regarding the arrests, the board said that it appears that the issue pertains to use of unfair means and attempt to cheat by certain unscrupulous elements after commencement of the paper.
CBSE said the police department of Rohtak was initiating suitable action as per law.
"To allay the doubts of the candidates and general public it is again reiterated that CBSE AIPMPT 2015 was conducted in a smooth and fair manner keeping the sanctity of the examination intact," the statement said.
The board had made made elaborate arrangements for smooth and fair examination including deployment of city coordinators, observers, centre superintendents, invigilators, police personnel at each centre, it said.
There have been no reports of any untoward incidents at any centre reported by any other or these sources, the statement added.
