Air Ambulance Service launched in Guwahati

An Air Ambulance service was launched here today.

Assam Transport and Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary speaking on the occasion said the Air ambulance will be parked at Guwahati airport providing prompt service to those who need the emergency service.

Patowary became the first member of the membership programme of the 'BookAirAmbulance project which will give discount and other benefits to its members.

According to Captain Amit Kumar, founder and managing director of Flaps Aviation, BookAirAmbulance is an exclusive and affordable medical evacuation service initiated by his company.

From Guwahati it will be gradually expanded to all the major state capitals of India, Kumar said, adding, air ambulances would be strategically deployed at different places in the country so as to provide long haul and short haul destination service depending on the budget and time in hand.
 

The company is introducing a membership programme based on affordability for all to make air ambulance services subsidised through its partners, government agencies and corporate CSR initiatives, he said.
