Air Arabia T'puram-Sharjah flight returns after bird hit

: An Air Arabia flight from here to Sharjah with 162 passengers and seven crew returned to the state capital soon after take off today following a bird hit.

Airport sources said they were initially informed that there was a technical problem. However only after the plane landed and it was examined was it discovered that it was a bird hit.

The passengers were acccomodated in city hotels and are likely to be put on board another flight tomorrow morning for their onward journey, the sources said.
