"The airline currently operates seven weekly flights from Delhi to Sharjah. Starting September 1, Air Arabia will offer 14 flights per week," an airline spokesperson said.
The flights would depart Sharjah International Airport, the carrier's primary hub, daily at 07:45 AM and 23:20 PM (local time) and on its return leg would depart from Delhi's IGI airport at 13:05 PM and 04:40 AM (local time).
"The rapidly expanding aviation sector in India is one of the country's major economic drivers. We are confident that the expansion of service between Sharjah and New Delhi would further enhance the air travel options for the residents of both states and positively contribute to the economic development of both countries," said Adel Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia.
He said India had always been a market of focus for Air Arabia and "we currently serve 13 cities across India from Sharjah".
