Air Chief Marshal arrives on 2-day visit to Halwara AF station

Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa today arrived at Halwara Air Force station here on a two day visit.

"Chief of the Air Staff and Kamalpreet Dhanoa, president AFWWA, arrived on a two days inspection visit to Air Force Station, Halwara," a defence spokesperson said.

They were received by Air Commodore Dhananjay Vasant Khot, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station, Halwara, and Sanyukta Dhananjay Khot, president, AFWWA (local), he said.

The Air chief on his arrival was presented with a guard of honour by the air warriors of the Halwara base, the spokesperson said.

He inspected the station for its operational preparedness and war waging capabilities and visited the upcoming projects at the air base.
 

Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa while interacting with the station personnel appreciated their selfless devotion to duty and encouraged them to continue with their efforts in taking the IAF to greater glory.

The IAF chief also visited GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar. He was received and accorded a guard of honour by NCC Cadets.

He inaugurated the newly built Sardar Bhaktawar Singh Central Library of the college named after the late president of the college governing council.

In his address to the staff and students of college, the Air chief encouraged their wider participation and contribution in nation building.
