National carrier Air India observed the Swachhta Pakhwada recently in tandem with the Centre's Swachh Bharat Mission.
Captain Rohit Bhasin, Air India's Regional Director (East) along with departmental heads and employees participated in cleaning and sweeping the floors, corridors and premises of Airlines House to spread the message of Swachh Bharat.
A high-level committee was set up to inspect regularly the cleanliness maintained by the departments.
A pledge was also read by all employees and the need to keep the working environment clean was explained by Capt. Bhasin.
Similar activities were also held at other establishments of Air India here. A slogan-writing competition was also held for employees to inspire them.
