Air Marshal S B Deo takes over AoC-in-C

Air Marshal S B Deo today took over as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command of the Indian Air Force here.

Replacing Air Marshal R K Jolly who superannuated yesterday, Deo was presented with the Ceremonial Guard of Honour by Air Warriors of the force on assuming Command.

A Fighter Combat Leader and a qualified flying instructor, Air Marshal Deo was commissioned in the fighter stream since 1979.

The Air Marshal has tenanted various important staff and field appointments during his service career spanning over 35 years.

Prior to taking over as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, IAF he was Director General Air (Operations) at Air HQ.
