An air strike in Syria's eastern province of Deir Ezzor has killed 26 members of the Islamic State jihadist group, a Britain-based monitor said today.
Twenty-eight civilians were also killed in the raid on the village of Al-Soussa near the Iraqi border late yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said.
It was not immediately clear if the raid was carried out by an Iraqi plane or by one of the US-led coalition fighting IS, which was not immediately available for comment.
