Air Vice Marshal Harinder Jeet Walia visited 48 Squadron of the Indian Air Force here today.
He was presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour by Commanding Officer Group Captain Khushpal Singh Lambha, a defence release said here.
This is Walia's first visit to the Squadron as Commodore Commandant, who also serves as the Additional Director General (ADG) at headquarter DG, NCC.

Addressing the squadron personnel, Walia asked them to keep themselves updated in all aspects of the profession and enjoy it as a hobby, the release said.
Each individual should also be aware of different policy matters with regard to the government welfare schemes for service personnel, he said.
The Air Vice Marshal also recalled his days in the Squadron during 1998.
Walia is the alumni of the Defence Service Staff College, College of Air Warfare and National Defence College, the release said.
He was commissioned in the transport stream of Indian Air Force in June 1981 and has more than 5,000 hours of varied flying experience with extensive flying in the Eastern and Northern Sectors, it said.
Air Commander Arun Saklani, AOC 12 Wing and Group Captain Lambha received Walia, who is on a two-day official visit to the city.
