Airtel launches Platinum 3G Service in Indore

Telecom major Bharti Airtel today launched 'Platinum 3G Service' here and expressed hope that in the next three months it will roll out this facility in the entire Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circle.

"We are hopeful of rolling out Platinum 3G service in the entire MP-CG circle in next three months and we are updating our network for the same, continuously in the region," Bharti Airtel's MP-CG Circle's COO Veer Inder Nath told reporters here.

Answering a query, he said that the company has acquired Augere Wireless Broadband India for starting 4G services in MP-CG Circle and is taking regulatory clearances from the concerned authorities.
 

However, he did not give any time-frame for the same.

He said a total of six crore customers using mobile phones in the MP-CG circle by availing services offered by different service providers and among them Airtel's share stands at 1.2 crore.

The company has focused on expanding its market share in the circle by introducing data services in the rural areas.
