All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), an amalgam of various panchayat bodies, today claimed MGNREGA workers in the state have not got their dues and warned that they will hit the street if wages, which are "running into crores", are not paid in 15 days.

"Omar-led JK coalition government has failed to clear liabilities under Mahatama Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA)," president, AJKPC, Anil Sharma told reporters here today.

Sharma said this is not only violation of MGNREGA guidelines and Labour Laws but also amounts to human rights violation.

The AJKPC leader warned the state government to clear all the dues within 15 days or get ready to face a spade of protests across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.

"AJKPC will not tolerate this injustice and we give 15 days ultimatum to the state government to clear all the dues under MGNREGA along with necessary compensation else get ready to face the music," Sharma warned.
