Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan Police today arrested a Reader posted at SDM Court of Ajmer for allegedly taking bribe from a client for dropping his complaint.
The accused, one Manish Godha, posted as Reader in Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Court of Ajmer had demanded the bribe of Rs 400 for dropping a complaint of a person even after expiry of date related to the case, a spokesperson said.
Client had paid Rs 200 in advance, and remaining Rs 200 was paid to Reader on his dais of the court in presence of ACB sleuths who immediately arrested him, the spokesperson said.

In another case, the ACB sleuths arrested Employment Assistant Kumbha Ram posted at Gram Panchayat Bangarsar in Bikaner district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2000 for forwarding a grant letter of Rs 3 lakh to the contractor for construction of a water pond under MNREGA in the said gram panchayat, she said.
The accused was arrested while accepting the bribe of Rs 2000 on which the deal was struck from the contractor (name not disclosed), she said.
Two separate cases under prevention of corruption act were lodged against both the accused.
