IPS officer Rajesh Meena's alleged agent who used to extort money from SHOs on his behalf was also remanded in one-day police custody.
District SP Meena, who has been suspended, along with Ramdev was caught by a team of anti-corruption bureau at his official residence yesterday.
They were produced today in a lower court where the magistrate remanded them in one-day police custody.
"Both of them were arrested following recovery of unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 5.05 lakh from the residence and Ramdev's subsequent confession that he had collected the money from SHOs on the SP's behalf," DIG ACB Govind Narayan said.
The bureau had information that Ramdev, who came in contact with Meena during the officer's posting in Jodhpur, used to collect money from SHOs on his behalf and deliver the amount to him.
