Ruling Ajsu party MLA Kamal Kishore Bhagat and another accused were today found guilty by a local court in a case of attack on a doctor 22 years ago.
Additional Judicial Commissioner Krishna Kumar held Bhagat and A Bodra guilty in the case and would hear arguments tomorrow before pronouncing the quantum of sentence against them.
The FIR was lodged against the Lohardaga MLA and Bodra in 1993 for attacking the Ranchi-based doctor.
The duo were found guilty of violating IPC sections 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 387 (putting or attempting to put a person in fear of death or grievous hurt in order to commit extortion), according to sources in the court.
