AJSU party activists today squatted outside the office of the General Manager (Jamshedpur circle) Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB) demanding 24-hour uninterrupted electric supply.
Hundreds of AJSU party activists led by its MLA Ramchandra Sahish gheraoed the JSEB GM's office here in support of their demands related to power supply and necessary steps to improve the prevailing situation.
Talking to newsmen, Sahish said power supply in major parts of East Singhbhum district was erratic even as people were badly affected by the intense heat wave and acute water shortage in the district.

Later Sahish led a party delegation and submitted a memorandum in support of their demands, which included immediate replacement of faulty transformers, old electricity wire and bamboo poles in rural area.
Besides, he also demanded for setting up of a Power station in Bagbera, electric sub-stations in the Mango, Bodam and taking up of rural electrification immediately in villages deprived of the facility so far.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists led by its leader Vikash Singh had put up a road blockade on Sunday in protest against erratic power supply in major parts of Mango.
The BJYM activists claimed majority of the Mango residents were forced live without power for the last two days because of faulty transformer but no action was taken to replace it.
