Akal Takht, the highest temporal body of the Sikhs, today formed a 10-member committee to visit Haryana tomorrow to hold dialogues with estranged Sikh leaders of that state who are raising voice for a separate SGPC.

Akal Takht had yesterday asked five Sikh leaders Jagdish Singh Jhinda, Didar Singh Nalwi, Baba Gurmit Singh Tirlokpuri, Apar Singh and Harmanjit Singh from Haryana to appear before it here today.

Akal Takht head Gurbachan Singh, however, said all the five Sikh leaders from Haryana expressed inability to visit here as they were busy in Haryana but they have expressed faith and respect for Akal Takht.

"In the light of present circumstances, Akal Takht has formed a ten-member committee to visit Kurukshetra in Haryana tomorrow to hold dialogues with regard to the problems being faced by Haryana Sikhs raising demand of separate for HSGPC," Singh said.

Among others, the members of the committee are chief of Damdami Taksal Baba Harnam Singh Dhuma, chief of Baba Budha Dal Balbir Singh, Sant Teja Singh, Sant Ram Singh from Karnal, Sant Baba Joga Singh from Karnal and general secretary SGPC Sukhdev Singh Bhaur, executive members of SGPC Karnail Singh Panjoli, Dyal Singh Kolayawali, and Rajinder Singh Mehta and secretary SGPC Dalmegh Singh.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had already clarified that his government will take any decision on separate SGPC for managing affairs of Sikh shrines keeping in view "interests of Sikhs."

On July six, Sikhs from Haryana will converge at Kaithal to take a final call on the issue of separate SGPC.

The Sikh congregation is being organised jointly by Didar Singh Nalwi and Jagdish Singh Jhinda, two senior leaders in Haryana who recently joined together on the issue of setting up of a separate SGPC for Haryana.
