Prime Minister Narendra Modi tonight said Akashvani Maitree, a radio channel launched earlier in the day, will serve as one more bridge of friendship between the people of India and Bangladesh.
"Congratulations to Akashvani (AIR) on launch of Akashvani Maitree, inaugurated by President of India. This can be heard in India and Bangladesh," he tweeted.
"Akashvani Maitree will serve as one more bridge of friendship between people of India and Bangladesh," the Prime Minister added.
Akashvani Maitree radio service for Bengali listeners is aimed at providing a platform for blending content from India and Bangladesh and preserving Bengali culture.
