Akhilesh directs officials to make his office paperless

It will help in bringing transparency in the working, says the CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today directed officials to make his office paperless, saying it will help in bringing transparency in the working and decision making faster.

"With a view to make disposal of letters to his offices quicker, the Chief Minister has directed officials to make his office paperless," an official statement here said.

The decision will also make senior officials' supervision easier, the statement said, adding that for achieving the goal, officers and employees posted in the Chief Minister's office will be given training on computers.

Later this system will be extended to all other offices, specially the secretariat, it said, adding that large expenses incurred on upkeep of files and paper will be saved and it will also help in maintaining environment better.
