Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today unveiled the logo and jersey design and launched a website of Crossbow Shooting Association of India at the Eklavya stadium here.
At the event, Yadav said his government has done a lot for the welfare of sportspersons and taken concrete steps to promote sports and provided infrastructural support.
Crossbow shooting, renamed as 'Deshi Dhanush', has a bright future in the state and measures are being initiated to encourage the new sport in a big way, the chief minister said.
He praised the efforts of Rajat and Hina Viz of Agra for winning laurels at the international level and bringing the sport to the city.
