Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today wrote a letter to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley requesting him to include various proposals regarding development of the state in the General Budget.
In the letter, he requested for proper budgetary allocation for the rest of the monetary relief sanctioned for farmers hit by hailstorm and drought, an official spokesperson said.
The Chief Minister also asked Jaitley to make financial arrangements for AIIMS at Gorakhpur, Purvanchal Expressway, metro projects in Kanpur and Varanasi, international airports at Jewar and Hirengaon in Firozabad besides Purvanchal and Bundelkhand packages, he said.
Akhilesh expressed hope that besides these, more projects connected with the progress of the state should be taken into account in the Budget, the spokesperson added.
