The Al Nejmeh striker, who is expected to arrive in Goa on Sunday, will be the second Lebanese player to sign for Churchill Brothers for the coming season, which will have two Asian players in their rank for the first time.
It was Lebanese defender Bilai (already signed by Churchill Bros) who recommended Akram's name, after their attempt to rope in Idan failed.
He is a good striker and everyone knows him in Lebanon and he has scored six international goals, Churchill Brothers technical director Subhas Bhowmick said.
