Akshay, 45, will play a gangster in the film, which is said to be helmed by Anthony D'Souza of 'Blue' fame.
"The very man I have aspired to be for so many years, Danny you are the true BOSS of my film and a man all men should be!!," posted Akshay.
Akshay has also been spotted shooting the film at the Fatehpuri Masjid in Agra.
Danny, 64, was last seen in 2009 in multi-starrer thriller 'Acid Factory'.
