Al Barkat Malik score narrow victory over Lucknow team

Mumbai's Al Barkat Malik MI English school edged out Sports Campus College, Lucknow (UP), by one run for their third win on the trot in the Coca-Cola Under-16 Cricket Cup Inter State tournament here today.

Pushkar Sharma's 77 in 92 balls and Rayan Khan's 50 off 75 balls enabled the Mumbai school to post 226 for 8 in 45 overs.

The Lucknow team chased well with Mohsin Ali making a fine 90-ball 94 with 2 sixes and 10 fours.

He was well supported by Mohit Pal and Vijay Yadav, who scored 52 runs and 61, respectively but Sports Hostel fell short narrowly when they were shot out for 225.
 

The Lucknow team needed four runs in the last over bowled by Mukund Sarda and managed to get only two.

In two other matches, Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School, Delhi, defeated Kiddys Corner Higher Secondary School, Gwalior, by 61 runs while St Jones Jr College, Hyderabad, beat Dehinagar KCR Vidyapith, West Bengal, by 40 runs.

DAV Sr Secondary School, Chandigarh, won their first match of the tournament against Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tamil Nadu by 61 runs.
