Actor Alan Cumming has bought a townhouse worth USD 4.65 million on the East Ninth Street along with his graphic artist wife Grant Shaffer.
Cumming, who is famous for his role in "Macbeth" on Broadway, bought the 20-foot-wide East Village townhouse with seven bedrooms, four baths and a forest-like garden, reported New York Post.
Other than the four-stories, there is also an approval to build at least two more stories to the townhouse. Attached with it is a French country chef's kitchen with 19th-century flooring.
Cumming and Shaffer also share the neighbourhood with David Schwimmer, famous for his role as 'Ross' in TV series Friends.
