Alert residents nab two robbers

Two robbers were today beaten up by local residents after they were caught red-handed while trying to execute a robbery at a flat in Sahibabad area.

The two men -- Aarif and Dulal -- were caught attempting to unlock the door of the flat owned by Sudhanshu Jain in Parashnath society situated in Sahibabad area.

According to police, Sudhanshu and his wife left for their offices after locking their flat this morning.

"When the duo was trying to unlock Jain's flat, a woman, who also resides in the same society, spotted them and informed security guards. The robbers attacked guard and started running away. However, hearing noise, other residents got alerted and caught hold of them," a police officer said.
 

After beating the robbers, angry residents handed them over to local police, who then took them to a nearby hospital where their condition was stated to be normal.

Police have also recovered a bike and an iron rod from the robbers' possession.
