Alex Timbers, the Broadway veteran and co-creator of the web TV series "Mozart in the Jungle", is in negotiations to direct Disney's live-action movie "Cruella".
The project will be important for Timbers as he and Disney parted ways last summer over the Broadway-bound adaptation of "Frozen"- a feature he was to direct, reported Deadline.
Actress Emma Stone, who received both a Golden Globe and SAG nominations this week for her role in "La La Land", is attached to star as Cruella de Vil in the film.
Kelly Marcel and Steve Zissis are writing the script, while Andrew Gunn and Marc Platt will produce the feature.
