German automotive systems supplier Continental today said it has appointed Alexander Klotz as the new head of its technical centre in India (TCI).
Klotz will be instrumental in taking Technical Centre India (TCI), which supports company's automotive divisions globally and employees around 3,000 engineers, to next level of growth, Continental said in a statement.
"Continental TCI plays an important role as an R&D Centre, and Alexander's leadership competence and experiences will ensure the centre continues to grow in terms of competence, innovation potential and capacity," Continental Automotive Managing Director Prashanth Doreswamy said.
Klotz has more than 15 years of experience in automotive industry, having held leadership positions focused in R&D and business functions.
Set up in 2009 as an in-house development centre focused primarily on software development, Continental TCI has today advanced in the value chain, supporting end-to-end product development from requirement engineering to vehicle build up and testing in specific areas encompassing software, electronics and mechanics.
The centre is one of Continental's three Systems and Technology (S&T) hubs worldwide.
