Algeria wants to improve its bilateral trade relations with India, a top diplomat said today.
"We want India to be one of our top ten trade partners," Ambassador of Algeria to India Mohammed Hacene Echarif said at an interactive session with the MCC Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today.
The bilateral trade between the two countries has grown from US$55 million in 2001 to US$ 3.4 billion in 2011 while in 2012, the trade volume came down to 2.17 billion.
India exports pharma, frozen meats, tractors and vehicles while Algeria exports crude, oil, LNG and phosphates.
