'Emmerdale' star Alicya Eyo was honoured with the award for Entertainer of the Year at Stonewall Awards.
The 38-year-old actress picked up the gong for the portrayal of her lesbian character, Ruby Haswell, reported Daily Mirror.
The ceremony celebrates those who have made a positive impact on the lives of lesbian, gay and bisexual people in the past 12 months.

Taking to Twitter to acknowledge her win, Eyo said, "Thank you all for your messages of support, Still totally overwhelmed! What a night. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees."
Stonewall Chief Executive Ruth Hunt said, "Stonewall's 2014 Award winners really do demonstrate the passion, commitment and diversity of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people and their allies, who together make the world a better place.
