The post-mortem houses, equipped with all modern facilities, would be set up at the district hospital premises with each unit costing Rs 67 lakh each, he said inauguration the histopathological section at the Forensic Sciences Laboratory here.
These would have facilities like interaction room for policemen and doctors, rooms for kins of victims, close circuit television sets to ensure proper upkeep of evidences and documents related to death cases, Abhayanand said.
X-ray machines would also be provided to find out cause of the death of a person so as to reduce litigations, he said, adding deep freezers would also be installed to keep the bodies.
About the histopathological unit, he said it would enable investigators to solve complicated murder and death cases.
