Speaking on the occasion, secretary of the West Bengal unit of the All India Krishak Sabha alleged that the condition of the farmers in West Bengal has deteriorated during the rule of the Trinamool Congress government.
Ghosh alleged that both the state government and the Central government were taking anti-farmers policies like allowing synthetic bags for packaging instead of jute bags.
The jute industry in Bengal will be hit by this decision of the government, Ghosh alleged.
