"61st All India Police Hockey Championship is being held in Jammu from December 7. The championship is being organized by J&K Police and would last for eight days. It would conclude on December 14," Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed, Law & Order, K Rajendra Kumar said this evening.
Rajendra said more than 500 players in 26 teams representing different states and Central police organisations would be participating in the championship.
The championship would be played at two venues. K K Hakku Hockey Stadium would be the main venue, besides some matches would be played at Jammu University, he added.
The national championship is being held under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board, he said.
