: Ford India today launched its all new Figo, built on the company's latest global platform, at an introductory offer of Rs 4.38 lakh (ex-showroom) here.

Speaking at the launch Lakshmi Ramkumar, General Manager, Dealer Development, Ford India, claimed the Figo was designed to delight customers with sporty stance, cutting-edge technology and unmatched ownership experience.

"An outstanding value for money package, the new Figo is cleverly built to appeal to Indian consumers who don't want to compromise on looks, practicality, safety, cutting-edge technology and above all, exceptional fuel efficiency,"he said.

This raises the bar in the country's fast-growing compact car segment with its clever value-for-money proposition and host of segment best and first features, he said.

Airbags would be standard across the entire model range Ramkumar said, adding that from the second variant on, Figo would offer standard dual front airbags across the entire lineup.

This is the only car in its segment to offer up to six airbags - including side and curtain airbags -- for all round protection, he said.
