The call was made by the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib (the supreme seat of Sikhs) Gurbachan Singh on the sidelines of a wedding here.
Without referring to the campaigning during the recent Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) polls, he said that in recent past attempts have been made to lower the status of Akal Takht Sahib.
"The political parties are free to campaign anything but nobody has been allowed to lower the status of highest temporal seat," Jathedar stressed.
Without naming Sarana, Jathedar said that those who have not been following the edict of Akal Takht Sahib should come forward and present themselves to the Takht for pardon.
He said that by doing this his (Sarana) stature would be greatened than before.
