At present, 33 STPs are operational and 43 are under construction, a meeting of the Public Health Engineering Department was informed today.
The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, according to an official release.
The meeting was told that all the 80 towns in Haryana will have STPs by 2014.
Hooda directed the department to frame policies and guidelines regarding functioning of private operators in the field of drinking water supply, the release said.
He also directed the officers to formulate projects for reuse and recycle of treated waste water.
