Haryana government has directed that all types of vehicles, except two wheelers below 50CC, should have auto-dippers.
No motor vehicle would be registered unless it is fitted with auto-dipper that complies with the requirements of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, a spokesperson of the Transport Department said today.
All two, three and four wheeled motor vehicles which are already registered, would be fitted with auto-dippers, he said.

The auto-dippers should be approved by the Transport Department on the basis of the technology under licence from National Research Development Corporation or a prototype tested by agencies approved by Centre, like Defence Ministry's Vehicle Research and Development Establishment or Automotive Research Associates of India, Pune.
The manufacturer, while submitting the application for approval of auto-dippers, would declare that its functioning is compatible with headlamps working as per AIS: 034, the spokesperson said.
