All the unmanned level crossings (ULC) in the Salem Division will be eliminated by 2018 end, a top Southern Railway Official said today.
Of the 72 unmanned level crossings 22 have already been closed last year 2016-17, Salem Divisional Railway Manager, Harishankar Verma, said.
Verma in a release, as part of observing Level Crossing Awareness Week from May 29 to June two, requested road users to exercise caution while using manned and unmanned level crossings, by waiting and watching before crossing such LCs.
