Lawyers of Allahabad High Court decided to abstain from work today and on January 9 and 12 to protest their non-inclusion in the committee formed by the Hight Court Chief Justice to consider the establishment of a new bench in western Uttar Pradesh.
General secretary of Oudh Bar Association (OBA) Ramesh Pandey said the office bearers and members of executive committee found that there was no response from the side of the Chief Justice in pursuance of earlier resolution of January 7 executive committee.
Accordingly, in the executive committee meeting it was resolved that the members of Bar will continue to abstain from work today and January 9 and 12.
The next meeting of the executive committee will take place on January 12, Pandey said.
